Halloween 2024 Event Guide for AUT – Candy Collection & Hollow Boss
The Halloween event in A Universal Time offers a variety of activities and rewards, including the new Shinigami ability, Candy for rolling event crates, and a challenging raid boss encounter.
Shinigami Ability
The Shinigami ability is a limited-time reward obtainable during the Halloween event. Acquiring this powerful ability involves acquiring two items by interacting with a Distinguished Wolf NPC, completing quests, defeating a raid boss, and ultimately crafting the Shinigami ability.
For a complete guide to obtaining Shinigami, refer to our dedicated guide here: Universal Time Shinigami Ability Guide (AUT)
Candy
Candy is the currency of the Halloween event, used to purchase rolls for exclusive event skins from limited-time crates. There are three types of Candy: White, Green, and Purple.
How to Get Candy
To obtain candy, venture to the Halloween Map (accessed by speaking to the Bawxstar NPC at the plaza) and slay the ghoulish creatures lurking around the Cathedral, such as Vampires and Zombies.
- NPC Drops:
- Green Candy: 25% drop chance
- White Candy: 100% drop chance (unless Green Candy is dropped)
- Raid Boss Drops
- Purple Candy is the rarest type, only obtained from the Hollow Raid Boss (10% drop chance).

What To Do With Candy
To use your Candy, speak to “The Sigma Of Halloween” NPC, located at the plaza close to Bawkstar. This NPC will convert your candy into event currency. AUT is pretty dark at the moment, and The Sigma Of Halloween is dressed all in black, so he’s pretty hard to see!

Which then can be used to purchase two Halloween Crates:
- Halloween Crate
- Halloween Kill Effect Crate Rewards
The event currency can be used to roll for items in two crates: the Halloween Crate and the Halloween Kill Effect Crate. Each crate contains different rewards, there are 14 in the Halloween Crate and 8 in the Halloween Kill Effect Crate. All are shown below.
