Atlas Fallen, an upcoming action and adventure RPG from developer Deck13 and publisher Focus Entertainment, has just revealed a brand-new gameplay overview trailer, as well as a Limited Edition. The trailer features the basic premise, conflicts, and gameplay features such as co-op and skill customization.

Atlas Fallen was originally expected to launch last month, but it was recently delayed until August 10th, 2023. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. You can watch today’s new gameplay overview trailer on the Focus Entertainment YouTube channel:

Atlas Fallen has previously released an extended showcase that ran nearly ten minutes, with intermittent interviews from the creatives behind the game. That deep dive was far more informative, leaving nothing especially juicy left to reveal. But today’s trailer is also more accessible, particularly for casual players.

It breaks down the highlights of the game, including the monster-based combat, compelling map traversal, and fully cooperative campaign.

Atlas Fallen has a friendly, upbeat tone, reinforced by the bright desert environment and the freedom to complete its story cooperatively. Atlas Fallen benefits from this a lot, because its familiar lore, mechanics and style could have easily been lost in the white noise of countless grim and dark fantasy competitors.

Today’s trailer also revealed the new Limited Edition content. It’s always a relief when special editions aren’t so limited that they’re only available on a single platform.

Granted, there aren’t many physical components in the Limited Edition, but the notion of a metal poster is pretty neat. The box and steelbook have terrific artwork, which feels more mysterious than typical fantasy fare. Players will also get the Ruin Rising Pack DLC, and more content naturally adds value.
