In a move designed to improve the gaming experience, Warzone has implemented a series of new anti-cheat measures in its forthcoming Ranked Play. This information was unveiled by Team RICOCHET in a recent tweet.

The team has activated several new server-side detection systems, enhanced third-party hardware device detections, and developed advanced backend tools for investigations in partnership with studios. In an additional step to curb unfair practices, the team has mandated password resets for accounts deemed at-risk or suspected of being stolen. To further ensure the integrity of gameplay, a minimum level of 45 has been instilled for players to participate in Ranked Play.

This announcement comes ahead of the Season 03 Reloaded, slated for release on May 10. Warzone’s Ranked Play offers an experience that combines competitive settings with a progressive rank system, seasonal rewards, and a visual skill system, all set within the thrilling Battle Royale context. Players can start from Bronze and gradually climb the ranks through winning matches, achieving high placements, and earning eliminations. The Skill Rating system, specifically tailored for a Battle Royale ranked mode, guides the progression through the ranks from Bronze to Iridescent, and finally, the Top 250.

The Skill Rating (SR) is primarily based on a player’s match performance. High placements in matches, assists, and eliminations contribute to an increase in a player’s SR. Entering a match requires a modest SR entry fee, and a detailed summary of the SR adjustments is provided at the end of each match. The crème de la crème of players will feature in the Top 250 Skill Division and be publicly displayed on a leaderboard.
