There is a possibility that Alan Wake will be the next Dead By Daylight survivor, and we've got the information here!

Dead by Daylight has sparked a wave of community speculation with their latest cryptic Twitter post. A short video featuring a lone flashlight resting beside bloodied manuscript pages has fans convinced Alan Wake, the protagonist of Remedy Entertainment’s horror thriller, is poised to join the game’s roster of survivors. Unless this has something to do with Alone In The Dark, it’s not hard to see Alan Wake.

The flashlight from the Tweet is a signature tool for Wake, known for wielding light against the shadowy creatures that plague his world. Meanwhile, the manuscript pages hint at his profession as a writer and the blurred lines between reality and fiction that permeate his narrative. At the same time, Dead by Daylight hasn’t explicitly confirmed the character’s identity. It’s almost a blatant yell at Wake being added.

While Alan Wake is the frontrunner in fan theories, the lack of concrete details leaves room for other possibilities. The flashlight could signify another character with similar themes, or the manuscript pages might be pieces of paper. Alone In The Dark, as I said above, is an option, and Resident Evil could be as well since you save at typewriters. What we’re saying is that there is room to speculate.

The teaser does say there will be an official reveal on January 9, so tomorrow. We’ll have to wait and see tomorrow, but we really are on the side that thinks it will be Alan Wake. We likely won’t see anyone from Resident Evil because it’s already been added, and Alan Wake is a huge franchise right now. Dead By Daylight would likely have gone to the other series the moment Alan Wake 2 took off.

We say to keep your eyes on the Twitter for Dead By Daylight because that should be where everything is announced first.
