Dead by Daylight players can now step into the shoes of the light-wielding author, Alan Wake. The character has officially arrived in the Fog alongside a detailed roadmap outlining future content. It’s a long blog post, but we’ve made it short and easy to understand.
Wake comes equipped with three unique perks, fresh voice lines, and several outfits, including Legendary appearances for Saga Anderson and Rose Marigold from Alan Wake 2. Players can also delve into Tome 18: REVISION, unlocking memories for Wake, The Deathslinger, and the House of Arkham while progressing through the revamped Archives system.

Beyond the Alan Wake additions, the roadmap highlights several upcoming changes and features. For example, we’re getting a Lights Out Modifier event. This limited-time event will plunge the Trials into near darkness on February 7, 2024, changing gameplay and ramping up tension by removing many elements.
The long-awaited FOV slider is finally here just for killers, which is something that many have been asking for. This should make things easier for those who have wider screens. Additionally, a new Generator System aims to address 3-Gen stalemates. A new Generator System will buff the regression caused by kicking a Generator from 2.5% instant regression to 5% instant regression.
The Mangled Status Effect and Sloppy Butcher Perk will be revised from March to April. This will be alongside targeted tweaks for The Hag, The Pig, The Huntress, and other Killers. From April to June, there will be further perk adjustments. Unfortunately for many, Ultimate Weapon, Adrenaline, and Decisive Strike will be undergoing heavy changes.
We’re also supposed to get a rework for The Twins and improvements to the Bloodweb system around those months, but there was no definitive date given. This felt less like an Alan Wake Roadmap and more like a Dead By Daylight update Roadmap, but more information and transparency is always welcome.
