Despite a lack of recent updates, the Among Us animated series is still making its way to TV screens. InnerSloth, the game’s developer, made sure to tweet out to everyone waiting and remind them that the show was on the way. CBS Studios is still releasing the TV version of the popular social deduction game to life, and it seems production is chugging along despite radio silence.

This latest sign of progress comes in the form of an X (formerly Twitter) post. The Among Us X account shared a teaser image depicting a blood-splattered pizza party banner that reads, “We’re not dead.” The “not” is noticeably covered in blood. This playful post, accompanied by a “muscles” emoji, assures fans that development is ongoing.

While details remain are hard to find, the initial announcement painted a clear picture. The series, helmed by Infinity Train creator Owen Dennis, will retain the core murder-mystery mechanics of the game. Crewmates will have to identify and eliminate Impostors trying to cause chaos and eliminate everyone. Animation will be handled by Titmouse, the studio behind Big Mouth and Star Trek: Lower Decks.

So, if you’re a fan of the more basic-looking animated characters, you’re in luck. This is the kind of artwork you’ll be used to. We hope they will at least look a whole lot like the animation made by Innersloth.

Among Us fans can rest assured that the animated counterpart to their beloved game is still in development, even though a release date is unknown. We know that the animated show is at least on its way and has not been canceled. If that changes, we’ll make sure to update you all.
