Among Us, the hit social deduction game set in space from developer and publisher Innersloth, is officially going to get a TV show according to a new tweet from the game’s official feed and an exclusive story from Variety.
Innersloth will be collaborating with CBS Eye Animation Productions to bring the series to life. The creator and executive producer will be Owen Dennis, best known for the animated series Infinity Train and Regular Show. The story is driven by the same basic premise of the video game, where a spaceship crew must uncover an alien impostor before it murders everyone on board.

Titmouse will be the animation studio, known for Star Trek: Lower Decks. While that oddball sense of humor has been a little divisive, there still seems to be a decent understanding of the lore that it parodies. This makes Titmouse ideal for Among Us. The game already has more edge than Star Trek, and it thrives on the dark comedy of a panicked crew deciding on who to throw into outer space.
The best that Among Us has gotten for a screen adaptation is its little cameo in Glass Onion, a scene that had a lot of cameos. But it’s ripe for some memorable characters and twists, especially if it’s approached with more of a comedic tone. Today’s exclusive story hints that could be the case.
While it’s unclear just how long Among Us could last as a series, there are plenty of different crews and environments to explore. And although Among Us has been around for a while, the franchise remains popular as ever, crossing over with Fortnite and stepping into the VR space. There is a definite audience for this.
