GuhRL is one of a few popular, female streamers in the Apex Legends scene, and she challenged herself to climb the ranks from Bronze to Master in a single Twitch stream today.

GuhRL has previously been a professional caster, and also competes with her own team in Apex Legends tournaments. Her streams continue to be among the most positive and thrilling content the game can offer, thanks to her attitude and skill.

It’s crucial to recognize how inspirational GuhRL’s success can be for other female gamers and streamers. In fact, Puma recently partnered with her for #SheMovesUs, a campaign to generate content about inspiring women.

Here’s GuhRL’s own tweet about the feature from last week, April 25th:

Also, her cool-headed approach is an inspiration for anybody in Apex Legends, which can sometimes be dragged down by toxic randoms (often more so for female players).

The game involves a lot of decision-making, which is very fun, but it can cause a lot of friction between strangers. Somehow, GuhRL is unusually patient, calm, and friendly, without getting tilted in moments that could make most rage quit.

Legend, Loadout and Tactics

GuhRL breezed past Bronze and Silver, smartly using Valkyrie whenever possible for today’s stunt. Valkyrie is the perfect legend for this challenge thanks to her movement and recon abilities.

Anyone who solo queues with randoms in Apex Legends needs a movement character. This will balance out aggressive pushes and swift escapes. But Valkyrie is able to help an entire team out of tough situations.

It was interesting to see GuhRL’s tactics shift as necessary. She became more careful and focused on zone in Gold Rank and above.

Generally, GuhRL waited in the ship to drop backwards and secure empty landing zones. Then, she looted quickly to attack nearby teams or third-party them. This formula is best for higher ranks.

GuhRL mainly used an R-301 in her loadout. It’s one of the most balanced weapons in the game, and although the hip-fire isn’t terrific, it’s always easy to find light ammunition. In higher ranks, she sometimes used a CAR and shotgun for more aggressive combat.

Because of the kill cap in the current ranked system, getting high placement is the most effective way to gain RP. And yet, GuhRL kept things entertaining. She took risks, and let her teammates get kill points too, rather than prioritizing her own challenge.

GuhRL also carried more shield batteries than cells, advising that they’re faster heals. She suggested to keep no more than 8 shield cells, and at least 1 grenade.

So, this challenge stream might also be a learning experience for new players that her content has invited to the game. Keep an eye out for GuhRL and her team! If you missed her challenge, you can watch her latest Twitch streams here.

Completing the challenge

GuhRL eventually completed the stunt after an absolute marathon, playing through to the next day! She tweeted about her success here:

GuhRL received hundreds of replies after reaching Master Rank. There was some toxicity there, which only reinforces how rampant that can be in gaming, particularly for women.

But the support and love were much greater, also proving that countless gamers of any gender are going to aspire to the dedication and skills that GuhRL shows every day.
