The organizers of the Apex Legends Pro League Weekend have announced the event’s rescheduling due to instabilities in the recent 16.1 patch. The EMEA/NA matches are now set to take place on April 23, 2023, while the APAC N matches have been moved to April 30, 2023.
In addition, Match Day #8 for EMEA/NA has been rescheduled to April 29, 2023, and the APAC N Regional Finals will now occur on May 6, 2023. All other previously scheduled matches will proceed as planned.
The 16.1 patch introduced several updates to the game, including changes to weapon crafting, legend abilities, and quality of life improvements. The patch moved the EVA-8 and 30-30 Repeater to the replicator, while the Longbow DMR and Volt SMG returned to the floor.
Ash’s Arc Snare ability saw a cooldown reduction from 25 to 20 seconds, an increased travel speed, and a decreased tether activation delay and snare grow time. Quality of life updates included hiding in-world item UIs and crafting UIs when aiming down the sight, and lowering the minimum player requirement for Team Deathmatch to six in custom matches.
The patch also addressed a variety of bugs, such as issues with supply bins, daily challenges, weapon cycling, and reloading near Wattson’s Pylon. Furthermore, platform-specific fixes were implemented for Xbox Series X chat messages, and DirectX 12-related issues with aspect ratio and player crosshairs.
