Apex Legends is suddenly entering a brand-new chapter with Season 16, which plans to add massive changes. Arenas will be removed, Team Deathmatch will be added, and even a class system with unique perks is going to be included.

So, today’s Battle Pass trailer is probably a little underwhelming. There’s a glimpse at all of the upcoming cosmetics, most of which look just fine. It’s a little disheartening to see Bloodhound get a key moment in the trailer, when Bloodhound mains are dreading a massive nerf to their ultimate, which has played a large role in keeping Bloodhound viable.

Surprisingly, a lot of the new cosmetics share the same kind of neon and music-oriented designs reminiscent of Apex Legends Mobile’s Rhapsody or Pythas Block 0. It certainly looks vibrant and colorful, but that’s going to feel pretty bittersweet for other fans, too.

A lot of players who invested deeply in the mobile game are putting in a lot of effort online in order to keep Apex Legends Mobile around. At the end of last month, developer Respawn Entertainment announced that the mobile version of the game would be shut down after 90 days.

Aside from getting a look at all of the upcoming cosmetics, today’s trailer does show off some gameplay of Mirage’s boat on Storm Point, which is fun to see. Its appearance in that location should add more interest, since it’s out of the way and frequently ignored without an ending ring.
