Many of the voice actors in Apex Legends often engage with both pros and casual players, or even each other. Pathfinder star Chris Edgerly just uploaded some new gameplay today with pro streamer GuhRL, resulting in peak positivity.
You can watch the full video on Edgerly’s channel here, where the two played duos for quite a few matches:
These two have been exchanging tweets lately, and the fans were lucky enough for this to invite a collaboration.
GuhRL was recently featured here for her Bronze to Master stunt, and her inspiring mindset during the game. Here’s a tweet between Edgerly and GuhRL discussing the best way possible to handle an apology for admitted toxic behavior:
Apex Legends continues to be a platform for players and artists to show off patience, learning and positivity in the industry.
Gameplay highlights
There were plenty of genuine laughs from GuhRL and Edgerly’s gameplay. To begin with, Edgerly often leans into self-deprecating humor, admitting that his skills aren’t quite the stuff of Master rank shootouts.
The modesty actually fits Pathfinder’s character, and it’s really just as entertaining as watching the pros wipe squads. Even when Edgerly doesn’t flip on the voice, he’s downright hilarious, asking Bloodhound to bleed out next to him.
Aside from the skill gap between GuhRL and Edgerly, the other big comedic highlight was the generational gap. For example, there is absolutely a brief discussion about VHS tapes and audio cassette tapes.
Features from the other Actors
Edgerly often plays with other actors from the game, especially Roger Craig Smith. You may know Smith as Sonic the Hedgehog, but his natural voice is mere inches away from Mirage’s.
The most active actor from Apex Legends is arguably Johnny Young, who runs his own YouTube channel and frequently plays with Edgerly or Ben Pendergast, the voice of Fuse.
Their gameplay sometimes includes interviews, discussing the acting craft, behind-the-scenes details about their Apex experience, and more. Sometimes, they just open their own heirlooms! After all, the devs often gift them character-related content.
Young invited Gabe Kunda, the voice of the latest legend Newcastle, to play the game too just a couple of days ago. You can watch the clips on YouTube here:
This level of investment from the actors is pretty unique, especially since they’ve even played with the community. Some of their past videos have the actors sneaking into games with randoms, and blowing their minds when they reveal their identities.
So, keep an ear out, you might just run into them sometime. And you should definitely support their YouTube channels, because their kind of wholesomeness and involvement deserves to be rewarded.
