The Trilogy invites players back to the court, where they will join Apollo Justice on his journey to restore order and end the dark age of law. The set encompasses three remarkable stories from the Ace Attorney series:

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney

Seven years post Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulations, Phoenix Wright loses his attorney’s badge. Aspiring attorney Apollo Justice steps into the fold as Wright’s apprentice, alongside Phoenix’s adopted daughter, Trucy. Across four cases, players strive to secure a ‘not guilty’ verdict for their clients through investigating cases and cross-examining witnesses. The unique “perceive” system, a distinctive feature of this game, allows players to identify nervous actions during witness testimonies, similar to tells in poker.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies

Set a year after Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, the court system is beleaguered by false charges and manufactured evidence, following an unjust disbarment incident involving Phoenix Wright. Players adopt the roles of defense attorneys Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes to restore faith in the justice system. Unique character-specific mechanics are a highlight of the game; Phoenix uncovers hidden secrets via “psyche-locks”, Apollo uses visual cues to detect deception, and Athena identifies emotional conflicts in witnesses’ voices.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice

Maintaining the investigative and courtroom gameplay familiar to the series, Spirit of Justice features defense attorneys Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes defending their clients. The game introduces the 3D navigation system from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, offering different perspectives for environment exploration. Alongside returning gameplay elements like Psyche-Locks, Perceiving, and the Mood Matrix, a new feature, Divination Séances, presents the last moments of a victim’s life. Players must find contradictions in the insights provided during these séances to progress.

This latest Capcom announcement marks a significant milestone for the Ace Attorney series and offers an exciting opportunity for both new and returning players to delve into Apollo Justice’s world, enhanced with high-definition graphics and rich storytelling. With its scheduled release in 2024, the wait begins for this gripping courtroom trilogy.
