The new Assassin’s Creed game, previously called Codename Red, had its release date leaked before it was supposed to be announced. The information revealed that the game is coming out on November 15th, 2024. Ubisoft, known for its many leaks, accidentally let this information slip in the trailer’s description (it’s not out yet, it’s on standby). They’ve already fixed it, but the damage is done.

Shadows is the first big Assassin’s Creed game since 2020’s Valhalla. It’s supposed to come out in October or November at the end of 2024. Even though we saw the release date, that could be wrong since it wasn’t confirmed. What we know is that Ubisoft is going to show the game for the first time on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, at 9 AM PT, along with the full trailer on YouTube. The game’s name changed from Codename Red to Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The game will likely come out simultaneously as Ubisoft’s new platform, Assassin’s Creed Infinity. This platform is supposed to connect all the stories in the game series.

While there’s not much information about the game’s story yet, many people who love the series have always wanted a game set in feudal Japan. Based on the tweets about the game, this is the case.

It’s important to mention that Shadows is the first Assassin’s Creed game made by Ubisoft Quebec since the really well-liked Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which took place in Ancient Greece and came out in 2017.

The official Assassin’s Creed social media account showed a new version of the game’s logo in red, hinting at an interesting change in the theme of the game. They said the first trailer for the new game, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, will be released on May 15th at 9 AM PT.

Again, Ubisoft hasn’t said when Assassin’s Creed Shadows will come out. Even though the recent leak says it might be November 15th, 2024, that could be wrong. The company has said the game will come out before March 2025. This matches up with when Assassin’s Creed games usually come out, around October or November, so the leak seems believable.
