Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has just announced their latest bug fixes in the new patch notes for the 1.5.3 update. It’s expected to launch on all platforms tomorrow, June 28th at 5 AM pacific time, for all you early birds.

Here’s the official tweet, which vaguely promotes the expected additions, changes and update size:

While the PlayStation update will be around 1.4 GB, PC and Xbox users will require 7 GB or more, so plan on a longer waiting time before you can jump into the Animus again.

The update adds the Bifrost Bundle, which includes the Shimmering Shield and Iridescent Axe, which were crafted from the same crystal that built the Bifrost. They’ll be free in the store for about a month, until July 26th.

But the majority of the patch involves some extensive repairs, and the devs have tried to acknowledge these mistakes with a sense of humor.

Some of the fixes are accompanied by amusing explanations in the official blog post, like NPCs needing a breather after a tough battle. It’s more than most franchises will offer frustrated fans.

Bug Fixes breakdown

One of the many small, yet noticeable bugs in the game has been the “Gift to the God” quest. Mainly, Brudd won’t move, and they even affected the pause menu in some situations. Here’s a short clip of the bug, which will finally be resolved:

In fact, a lot of the bug fixes involve movement. The devs have taken care of issues with Fast Travel in “The Seed of Travi”, becoming frozen in “Pride of the Aesir”, and getting stuck in “The Vault of the Ancients”.

Also, players won’t get stuck underground in the Valkyrie Arena anymore, and NPCs won’t fall totally still in “Kingdom’s End”.

There were actually many more AI improvements. This includes dead or resurrected NPCs, bear spawning, and lynx attacks. Broken dialogue was fixed, such as your crew asking for more raids immediately after completing a raid, or allies mistaking Eivor for Havi.

Overall, this will be a relatively small update with some quality-of-life changes, like fixing the Level Scaling in Mastery Challenge. You can find the complete list of fixes in the full patch notes.
