Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update to add new festival and mastery challenge

The latest update to Assassin's Creed Valhalla fixes major bugs, and Ubisoft has finally shared a detailed roadmap of future content.
Assassins Creed Title Update 2

The latest title update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has just gone live and will see some additional content as well as previous content being added. It is the first major update since the release of Dawn of Ragnarok, and it will keep Eivor busy until May. The size of the patch is 1–12 GB depending on the platform.

This is the second year since the launch of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and the first time the franchise has received content following its release year. While there has been no official confirmation that this is the final patch before Ubisoft moves on to the next game, we now have a detailed roadmap of content that is currently planned.

Everything added in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla patch 1.5.1 and future roadmap.

In terms of things to do, the update will feature the Mastery Challenge and the Ostara Festival. The Mastery Challenge pits our Viking hero against combat-based “challenges,” which are similar to tasks that were added in the past. It will bring 3 new shrines, a boss fight, and, of course, rewards and new armors.

The Ostara Festival is similar to previous festival-based events. Players have to complete various activities based on the festival and get rewards, which include new weapons. However, the Ostara Festival will not go live until April 21. It can be accessed once you’ve completed the first two arcs and have reached settlement level 2. Along with these, there are several bug fixes, game improvements, and all the usual stuff.

While we’re in the second, and possibly the final, year of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, other content is planned for games outside Valhalla. Ubisoft recently said they’re working on a next-gen patch for Assassin’s Creed Origins, and there is heavy speculation that there will be another crossover similar to the one we had with Odyssey

In other news, Ubisoft is working on an Assassin’s Creed title codenamed Rift. It is rumored that Rift will be smaller in scope and will return to the stealth roots that Assassin’s Creed was once known for. While we await any official confirmation on that, you can check the full patch notes for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s latest update on their official site.
