It’s been a good year for Persona fans, with the three most recent mainline games brought to PC, Xbox, and Nintendo, and a remake of Persona 3 in the works. Now, Persona developer ATLUS has announced that it is holding an exclusive screening of Persona 3 The Movie: #1 Spring of Birth followed by new information on ATLUS titles for the next fiscal year on Sep. 20.
This news was shared by Gematsu, who detailed the event’s schedule of the screening, a half-hour intermission, and then a presentation detailing the upcoming games from ATLUS like Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica. However, fans shouldn’t expect any new title announcements, just information about games that will be available at the Tokyo Game Show the following day.
Attendance for the event is being limited to 200 people and those who are interested will need to apply for a lottery if they hope to be chosen. Travel isn’t covered, so this will most likely apply to those who are local to Tokyo, Japan, or will be traveling into the city for the gaming convention happening a few days after the screening.
This event is clearly meant for those who are fans of ATLUS work, with there being a decade-old movie screening before the developer even gets into the news. That being said, this will likely get those in attendance in the mood before news is announced about the remake of Persona 3.
