Following the success of the first title, many players are anticipating the release of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 and its range of classic Paramount characters. Today, the game has announced that, while a returning character, Avatar Aang will be getting an entirely new moveset in All-Star Brawl 2.
The announcement was made with a short video on the All-Star Brawl 2 Twitter page, where a developer goes over the return of the character. He’ll have returning movement options like his glider and an additional jump with air bending, but can also draw from all four of the elements players see him use in the TV show. The developer even shows some of his more deceptive movements.
The trailer starts off by showing Aang’s vertical abilities and how they can help him reach his opponents or escape tough situations. With his different vertical abilities, he does especially well off the side of the map, allowing players to chase opponents up to the boundaries for a clean knockout.
However, the developer also warns that Aang is one of the lighter characters, which means players will need to learn to use his evasive techniques to remain out of opponents’ reach. Too many direct hits will send Aang flying out of the ring, so those who value evasive fighting styles might prefer his bending techniques.
