Larian Studios recently released Hotfix #22 for Baldur’s Gate 3. This update brings a variety of fixes and improvements, with a major focus on resolving cross-save issues for Xbox players. Notably, it includes the fixes from Hotfixes #20 and #21 that Xbox players couldn’t get. This fixes a long-standing problem that hindered Xbox players from transferring their saved games across different platforms.
Xbox players finally have cross-save functionality with Hotfix #22. This long-awaited addition allows players to seamlessly transfer their Baldur’s Gate 3 adventures between Xbox and other compatible platforms. This way, you can start on one platform and continue on others. So, progress is always preserved regardless of where you play.
The recent update brings more improvements for all platforms. Larian has fixed problems with Minthara’s dialogue, which sometimes contained unintended spoilers or repeated lines about the character Gale. They also resolved crashes and blockers that were impacting gameplay stability.
We don’t know if more updates will make their way to Xbox, but we know they’re very close to making all game versions exactly the same. Hopefully, that continues until they’re all equal. Xbox players will see improvements in the game’s stability when pausing Baldur’s Gate 3, like switching to another game or powering down the console. Earlier, these actions could cause internal crashes and reboots, but the hotfix is supposed to fix these issues.
Larian Studios is still improving the Baldur’s Gate 3 experience for players across all platforms. Players are being urged to report any remaining issues to Larian’s support team, especially after disabling any mods to determine if the base game causes the problems. This will help the development team troubleshoot more effectively and release necessary patches.
