Fallout Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Fallout has been a popular post-apocalyptic role-playing video game since 1997, created by Interplay Entertainment. For the month of October 2022, Bethesda celebrates Fallout’s 25th anniversary since its first release in October 10, 1997. As part of the celebrations, Bethesda has prepared a special anniversary event for players to experience in Fallout 76.

The 25th-anniversary calendar of Fallout is divided into four weeks. Eight different activities are open to participation throughout the first week. As a start, Fallout 76 will be free for members of Amazon Prime. The code for Fallout 76 may be found in the Windows Store when it becomes available. In addition to this, Bethesda will provide Xbox Game Pass subscribers with a free one-month trial of the Fallout 1st membership perk. This perk is only available once per account and may be claimed during the dates of October 4 and October 24. Additionally, only players who have not already claimed this per are eligible to do so at this time.

A Faction Quiz called P.A.L.S. (Post-Apocalyptic Loyalty Simulator) is developed to determine which post-nuclear faction suits players. This simulation is designed to match players with a faction most advantageous for one’s survival.

Meanwhile, players can now explore Appalachia and other Expeditions like The Pitt due to Fallout’s Free Play Week. Starting October 4, players can experience the entire game free on all platforms until October 11. Also, Bethesda will bring back the fan-favorite seasonal event “Invaders From Beyond” from October 4-18.

A series of giveaways will be given on Fallout 4 Creation Club. Furthermore, players using Xbox Series X/S can download an exclusive dynamic background for free. Lastly, an Anniversary Kickoff Stream will happen on October 7 on Twitch to celebrate with the community.

For the time being, this calendar is only for week 1 out of 4 of the anniversary. Fans are excited for the “Spooky Scorched” Halloween event in Fallout 76, where players engage in a trick-or-treat festivity around Appalachia. As such, Bethesda recommends checking the calendar regularly each week. For more updates, visit Fallout’s official website.
