Redfall has been a bit of a mess since it was released, but Bethesda is continuing to try and fix it with new updates. The latest update, Game Update 3, introduces a new Unrivaled Sniper Rifle, the Basilisk, which can petrify vampires. It also makes a number of other changes to the game, including balancing enemy abilities and traits, adjusting hero skills and abilities, and fixing various mission-related issues.
One of the biggest changes in Game Update 3 is the addition of the Basilisk. This new sniper rifle is perfect for taking down those formidable vampires. It has a unique weapon trait that charges the first bullet in a full magazine with UV power that can petrify vampires. This makes it the perfect weapon for players who want to take a more strategic approach to combat.

In addition to the new sniper rifle, Redfall’s Game Update 3 also makes a number of other changes to the game. For example, Shrouds, Anglers, and Siphons will be gated from spawning until players reach a specific level or complete certain missions. There will be balancing to enemy abilities and traits as well as adjusting hero skills and abilities. All damage-dealing hero abilities shatter vulnerable nest hearts.
There are things that were not as polished when the game was released that we’re glad to see receive improvements. This includes new input curve visuals for input response settings and single press options for various toggle-hold interactions. There are also general fixes like various hero-specific cosmetic and UI issues, mission-related issues, improved player visibility on the map, and voice control volume fixes.
This update is a positive step forward for Redfall. Bethesda has been trying hard to fix the game and bring back players. Game Update 3 as they call it, is a major step in the right direction. I’d say this game is worth keeping an eye on.
