The Fortnite Festival has returned for Season 3, featuring the multi-Grammy-award-winning artist Billie Eilish. The season starts today, April 23rd, 2024, and will continue until June 13th, 2024. Players can advance through the Festival Pass, which offers a free reward track and a premium upgrade to access exclusive Billie Eilish-themed items.
According to Epic Games, the free reward track includes the Lavatronic Bass instrument, a variety of Jam Tracks like “Sweet Victory” by Epic Games, two new Auras (Heart Groove Aura and Snow Beat Aura), and the Spinback Emote. Players can upgrade to the premium reward track for 1,800 V-Bucks to get more rewards. The upgrade instantly unlocks the Green Roots Billie Outfit, along with exclusive bonuses, including a music-reactive Ultraviolet Style for the outfit, Jam Tracks like “Maps” by Maroon 5, and Billie Eilish-themed instruments such as the Burial Mic and Sleeper Keys Keytar.
Not only that, but it seems like Billie Eilish is taking over the item shop, too. Fortnite’s Item Shop is now featuring content inspired by Billie Eilish. Players can now purchase emotes for her songs like “all the good girls go to hell” and “Therefore I Am” as Jam Tracks. Additionally, emotes for “bad guy” and “you should see me in a crown” are available for purchase. Fans can expect a new Billie Eilish Outfit and more Jam Tracks from her upcoming album to be added to the shop later in the season.
One really cool part of this is that Fortnite Festival now allows Rock Band 4 guitar controllers for performances on the Main Stage. A while back, the creators of Rockband were heading to the game, and this is a cool thing to bring. Players can try out new Pro Lead and Pro Bass song parts on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC (check the official announcement for compatible controllers). Support-A-Creator members also get the opportunity to create YouTube content featuring a range of Billie Eilish Jam Tracks and monetize their videos for a limited time.
Overall, this is a much bigger push than last season. It seems like Fortnite Festival is way more popular than anyone expected.
