Bleak Sword Dx, a dark fantasy hack-and-slash game by more8bit and Devolver Digital, is set to arrive on PC and Nintendo Switch next month.
Originally introduced on the Apple Arcade, the developers have revamped Bleak Sword Dx for the PC and Nintendo Switch platforms, with its release date slated for June 8th. Take a look at what Bleak Sword Dx has in store in a new trailer from Devolver Digital’s official Youtube channel:
Bleak Sword Dx offers a thrilling pocket-sized action-adventure set in an oppressive lo-fi world. This game challenges players to take on the role of a warrior and fight their way through twelve tense and deeply atmospheric chapters in an effort to break the curse of the legendary Bleak Sword.
The Nintendo Switch and PC versions of Bleak Sword DX include all original chapters as well as the three DLC chapters complete with new level and enemy layouts. A brand-new Randomizer campaign modifier has been introduced, offering a remix of the original game where leveling up and facing bosses in a particular order is no longer guaranteed.
Players may also take on the challenge of Bleak Sword DX‘s brand new Boss Run gauntlet and face all 12 in-game bosses back to back with only one health bar. A soul-crushing Arena mode is also available for those seeking a gladiator-style fight for survival where enemies become increasingly difficult over time.
Bleak Sword DX for PC and consoles also boast dynamic gameplay improvements, including new attacks, parries, and counters as well as enhanced enemy AI that makes them more unpredictable. Moreover, the game has received a visual upgrade, with new post-processing effects, adaptive depth of field, a range of filters, as well as enhancements to particle effects, foliage, and weather, all contributing to an elevated level of atmosphere and immersion.
You may add Bleak Sword DX to your Steam wishlist now to be notified when it becomes available.
