We all remember the announcement in March 2023 where Microsoft signed a deal with Boosteroid. Finally, a year later, Boosteroid has started offering a variety of Xbox PC games on its cloud gaming platform as part of a 10-year partnership. Now, they’re adding Microsoft Store and Game Pass.

According to the Xbox Wire article announcing it, many games came as scheduled. The initial lineup includes popular games like Deathloop, the Dishonored series (Dishonored, Dishonored 2, Dishonored: Death of The Outsider), Gears 5, Gears Tactics, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Pentiment. These games also have cross-play and cross-save features, allowing players to switch between their Xbox console and PC without losing progress.

Boosteroid will soon add more games from the Xbox PC library (more than what was promised a year ago). To play these games, users will need to own them through the Microsoft Store, either by direct purchase or as part of a PC Game Pass/Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, in addition to having a Boosteroid subscription.

The process to start playing is simple:

  • Log into a Boosteroid account on a compatible device (such as a PC, smartphone, tablet, or smart TV).
  • Navigate to the Library section and choose Xbox to see all supported games.
  • Browse the library and select the game to play.
  • Click Play to start the game on Boosteroid.
    • Make sure you log in to the Microsoft account associated with the game or Game Pass membership for verification.
  • Start playing the selected game.

The quality of cloud gaming depends on factors like the user’s hardware, location, software, and internet connection. If you have any questions about cloud gaming, Boosteroid’s website will tell you everything you need to know. It also has information on server locations and a tool to check connection quality.
