In a surprising turn of events at The Game Awards 2023, the widely acclaimed 2013 adventure game, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, has been officially confirmed to receive a remake. The announcement follows earlier speculations from notable leaker Billbil-kun, who hinted at the remake’s unveiling at the prestigious gaming event.
To be published once again by 505 Games, the revamped version of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is slated for release on February 28, 2024. The remake is designed for current-generation platforms, including the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
A decade has gone since Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons initially captivated fans. Originally crafted by the award-winning Swedish film director Josef Fares, the 2013 title continues to be a source of emotional and epic storytelling. Fares, known for his co-op-centric game direction in titles like “A Way Out” and “It Takes Two,” first showcased his talent in this category with this masterpiece.

In Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, players will embark on an epic fairy tale journey, guiding two brothers, Naiee and Naia. Driven by the urgency to find a cure for their ailing father, the brothers set out on a quest to retrieve the “Water of Life,” relying on each other for survival.
Throughout the adventure, players will control both brothers simultaneously in a single-player mode, offering a unique co-op play experience. Players will solve puzzles, explore diverse locations, engage in boss battles, and navigate the challenges by controlling one brother with each thumbstick.
