Activision has shared the first teaser for the next Call of Duty, and it is indeed Modern Warfare II, a direct sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare. Although this is just a teaser and nothing of much substance was shared, it is a positive sign that a full reveal could be happening anytime. But we’re not far away, and now that the logo is out, perhaps there are some hints and secrets hidden.
Earlier this week, Activision hosted a “behind the door” first look. Nothing from the presentation has been leaked, sadly, but some suggest it will be more realistic than its predecessor. Even the publisher didn’t shy away from claiming that the game will have noteworthy innovative elements to be “revolutionary” for the franchise.

As reported this week, Activision shared some details on their next mainline entry as well as Warzone. It was asserted that it would “be the most advanced experience in franchise history,” and Warzone was built from the ground up. All of these remain to be seen, but one thing will be certain after today, and that’s the title of the game being Modern Warfare II.
The announcement was made public on Call of Duty’s official social media handle with a message that reads, “The new era of Call of Duty is coming. The developer headers, which previously “went dark,” have now been replaced by the logo as well.
All the information about the game has been rumors, gossip, and leaks. Everything points to this being similar to Modern Warfare 2019 and leaning more towards realism than the arcade nature of Black Ops. And the speculation has already begun, based on mere seconds of trailers.
Official news, including trailers, gameplay, and detailed walkthroughs, will be revealed in the coming months. Previous leaks suggesting something coming at the end of this month, should detail us on the proposition of the game and how it’ll shape the future of the franchise.
