News is moving fast for Call of Duty fans, with Modern Warfare III being leaked for the last couple of months and then being confirmed in recent days by Activision. The news continues now, as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is teasing the reveal of Vladimir Makarov, the major antagonist from the original Modern Warfare trilogy in the 2000s, tomorrow, Aug. 9 at 7 a.m. PT.

Vladimir Makarov was teased at the end of last year’s Modern Warfare 2, with Laswell passing a picture with the face of the character from the original trilogy. In the post-credits scene, a man can be seen assembling a pistol on a plane before he gets a text on his phone that reads “No Russian,” a reference to the infamous mission showing a terrorist attack at an airport that the US was framed for by Makarov.

Call of Duty: MWIII was only officially confirmed yesterday, so it looks like Activision isn’t looking to delay the news any longer. The new trailer will likely give the payer a look at the revamped version of the classic character, including his motivations and the actor who’s playing him. With the uneasy post-credits scene from the last title, he may be involved in similar events as the first trilogy.

If Activision is truly following the events of the first trilogy, then this will likely be the last major title before the developer moves on to something else.
