Capcom has given Dragon’s Dogma 2 fans a chance to try out their character creator. That’s right, Capcom has released a standalone character creator for the upcoming sequel, Dragon’s Dogma 2. This free tool is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Players can create their characters and transfer them directly to the full game when it’s released.

I remember thinking that the original Dragon’s Dogma had the most advanced character creator I had ever seen. Even today, that character creator holds up really well. However, Dragon’s Dogma 2 pushes it even further with theirs. You can even adjust individual teeth and create outlandishly proportioned characters. The game also includes various hairstyles, like the popular “Killmonger Dreads,” we keep seeing in the movies.

Back during an IGN first, director Hideaki Itsuno said the team wanted to give a lot more to this character creator. He explained that the aim was to give players more freedom to create their perfect Arisen and Main Pawn companions using the improved capabilities of modern hardware. I’d say he nailed it.

I haven’t gotten a chance to try it, but I’ve seen many videos on it. I have to wear an eyepatch over my right eye pretty often, and I sincerely hope that’s a thing in this one. I won’t be disappointed if it isn’t, but I think that’d be pretty cool to see (with one eye).

There are also some words that streamers will be making pawns for players to use in-game. That’s pretty cool, and it would be nice to be able to play with streamer look-alikes.
