Dragon’s Dogma 2

Capcom’s TGS showcase began with Dragon’s Dogma 2, a story driven action RPG. There was all-new gameplay footage of the game’s central areas, pawn mechanics, day cycle system, and some advanced vocation abilities that will be earned throughout the game.

Resident Evil

Next, Capcom delved into the Separate Ways DLC from Resident Evil, and a free update adding Ada and Wesker for The Mercenaries, both of which are available today. But the real highlight is that a free VR mode DLC for Resident Evil 4’s main story is in development for PS VR2, and slated to launch this winter. It was also announced that Resident Evil 4 is coming to Mac and iPad sometime this year.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, which collects three of the hit visual novel games together with additional features, has now set a release date for January 25th, 2024. It will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox. Digital pre-orders are now slated for this fall.

Monster Hunter

The next major update for Monster Hunter Now will officially arrive in December, adding new monsters and weapons. Further seasonal updates are planned, introducing new weapon types and more. A new logo and art series were teased for Monster Hunter’s 20th anniversary, with “more announcements in the future”.

Perhaps the most hyped segment of Capcom’s showcase, fans will surely be disappointed they didn’t learn anything new about the future of the core series.

Capcom also included more updates for their recently released games. Exoprimal will release title update 3 in January 2024, and is getting a collaboration with Street Fighter and Monster Hunter.

Street Fighter

Street Fighter will officially add new characters and content, including Ed for Winter 2024 and Gouki in the following spring. In the meantime, Aki will be joining the game next week, as previously announced. She’ll also be a master in World Tour, and the new location Tian Hong Yuan will be added.

Capcom closed strong with various trailers, including a cinematic trailer for Path of the Goddess, an action adventure coming to PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and the Xbox Game Pass.
