Paradox Interactive’s classic city builder Cities: Skylines has just released another content creator pack trailer, this time featuring the Brooklyn & Queens DLC. The pack will include a set of over 60 growable residential buildings, and props for decorating.

Alongside the Hotels & Retreats DLC and Railroads of Japan creator pack, the upcoming Brooklyn & Queens content pack will be available on May 23rd, 2023. You can watch a full trailer for the new DLC on the Cities: Skylines YouTube channel:

Today’s teaser for Brooklyn & Queens is very much like the previous creator pack trailer. They both keep gameplay and cinematics under a minute, but still reveal more than enough to illustrate the new textures and spirit of the theme.

These residential buildings may not be the most colorful addition to the game, but they certainly have a unique district flavor. Their detailed simplicity should make the area feel homey and better populated.

Also, the variety of props offer some very fun ways to help distinguish each building. There’s a casual, everyday approach to this DLC that makes it feel really down-to-earth.

Today’s teaser highlighted a cat in the window, which should be more than enough for cat owners. But it’s also just one of those slice-of-life additions that’s going to define this creator pack. For example, the content creator pack’s official Steam page mentions that players will be able to add rental signs and window air conditioners.

Designed by Prosper, the Brooklyn & Queens DLC may not break very much new ground, but it does feel every bit as determined as Railroads of Japan to create a satisfying sense authenticity and personality.

An Industrial Revolution creator pack trailer should be expected soon, as Cities: Skylines has been releasing DLC teasers weekly since they were announced with the Hotels & Retreats trailer.
