Evil Dead: The Game pits survivors against the Kandarian Demon in an asymmetrical 4v1 battle. While the Kandarian Demon commands the power of the Evil Dead and can put the map itself against the forces of good, players still have to play carefully and employ a clever strategy if they hope to overcome the teamwork of the survivor players. Taking advantage of even the smallest mistake made by the survivors can be the difference between a win and a loss.

Redditor u/RancidKill64 reinforces this statement by showing it in action with his gameplay clip. Kelly Maxwell, one of my favorite Evil Dead characters, proves her strength as a Hunter class at the start of this clip. With her legendary-tier rifle, she easily dispatches the Demon’s minions, effectively one-shotting even the boss-level do-badders.

For all her strengths, however, no person is a mountain, and the Kelly player hasn’t managed to keep her fear level down in the midst of this combat. Using their demon lunge ability, RancidKill64 manages to charge through and jump scare every survivor, filling many of their fear meters. Using this opportunity, Rancid jumps into Kelly, possessing the team’s most powerful member.

The ensuing bloodbath only takes a few seconds. With control of Kelly’s body, the demon makes use of her powerful shooting perks and the legendary hunting rifle to gun down her teammates. Not one of them seems to suspect it either, with their backs precariously turned, unaware of the threat about to befall them. With only a few shots, Evil-Kelly manages to put down her entire team just as easily as she was dispatching Deadites before.

With her entire team bleeding out and plenty of time left on the possession meter, our Kandarian Demon runs the possessed Kelly deep into the woods, creating plenty of ground between her and her teammates. While there’s no way for the demon to kill Kelly here, he does create time for her teammates to bleed out, and created a ton of distance to fill with traps and Deadites if she hopes to save them. With less bullets too, things aren’t looking great for our Kelly.
