The latest patch for COD: Modern Warfare II & Warzone 2.0, released on April 19, brings a range of stability improvements, adjustments, and bug fixes to provide players with an enhanced gaming experience. The update resolves a number of known crashes, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience.
Among the adjustments made, the usability of controller stick rotation in Weapon Preview has been improved, preventing weapons from sliding back and forth. Additionally, when inspecting a sector from the map view of the Battle Pass, the selection now automatically takes players to the most valuable reward in the sector.
The patch also addresses several global bugs, including fixing issues with the Killcam not triggering properly, users being kicked back to the Main Menu after attempting to enter the Battle Pass for a second time, and enemies still exploding despite having Dismemberment and Gore Effects turned off when using the “Singularity” Blueprint. Other bug fixes include resolving issues with CDL weapon stickers not showing on weapons in-game or in Gunsmith, and players being unable to trigger the search in the invite Players popup when they shouldn’t.
In Warzone 2.0’s Battle Royale mode, adjustments have been made to improve the Buy Station interface for players using a controller, now starting on Gear Selection. Bug fixes include resolving issues with rewards for the “Hold The Line” mission not being rewarded to players after completion, spawn protection being incorrectly applied after a Gulag match, and players spawning in a Battle Royale lobby with a Default Loadout instead of their favorited Loadout.
In the DMZ mode, a one-minute countdown has been added on match start before players can use the UAV Killstreak. A message has also been added in DMZ Active Duty Operator Slots, explaining that the last Operator cannot be dismissed. Bug fixes in DMZ mode include resolving issues with the “Enforcer” Raid reward not properly equipping, the “Double Cross” Mission incorrectly requiring a specific Dead Drop location, and players using a controller being unable to pick up an enemy’s backpack after eliminating them.
