Relic Entertainment and Sega‘s real-time strategy game, Company of Heroes 3, will finally become available on consoles next month. Sega has also begun pre-orders for Company of Heroes 3‘s Standard and Premium console editions today.
Company of Heroes 3 was first released on PC via Steam in February 2023. It was scheduled to launch on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on May 30th, with a Standard and Premium Edition for consoles, similar to its PC release. Recently, Sega revealed that Company of Heroes 3 is now available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store.
The Premium Edition of Company of Heroes 3 comes with the Premium DLC pack, which includes premium cosmetics for the US Headquarters (Legendary), Victory Point (Legendary), and US M4 Sherman (Legendary), as well as the first DLC expansion pack releasing in 2024. Those who pre-order the Premium Edition will also receive the launch exclusive cosmetics, such as the Devil’s Brigade DLC Pack, featuring Legendary skins for the US Riflemen, M18 Hellcat, M8 Greyhound, and Scout Squad, as well as a Legendary Pioneer profile border and title.
In this third installment of the Company of Heroes series, players will take on the role of Allied Forces during their invasion of Italy and Axis forces in the North African campaign. Company of Heroes 3 boast features new to the series such as the Tactical Pause system, which allows the player to pause a battle and queue up commands to be executed when the game is resumed.
Unfortunately, since its launch on PC, Company of Heroes 3 was met with mixed reviews, with some complaining about experiencing game-breaking bugs and others even considering it as an unfinished game. Nonetheless, Sega has been providing consistent support for the game, and just last week, Company of Heroes 3 received its latest Update 1.1.4.
Although it cannot be guaranteed, it is hoped that Company of Heroes 3 Console Edition will provide a more seamless experience and has already resolved some issues that were identified when it was published on PC.
