In a recent update, Counter-Strike 2 introduced significant changes, among which are the inclusion of an overhauled Overpass map and a new Wingman game mode.

The newly added Wingman game mode expands the available gameplay options, while the Overpass map, which has undergone a thorough makeover, has been introduced to Deathmatch, Casual, Wingman, and Competitive game modes. Simultaneously, the Vertigo map has been incorporated into the Deathmatch and Casual modes. The changes, however, did not stop there – in a move that sees certain maps rotating out of the pool, Nuke and Office have been removed.

As far as workshop tools are concerned, the update has enhanced the user experience with the enablement of undo and redo buttons. Alongside this, various bugs that may have disrupted smooth gameplay have been addressed and resolved.

Further modifications include changes to the input settings menu, which now features the “Secondary Fire Hold” option. The halftime countdown timer, a critical game element, has been made visible, and an issue that prevented the camera from interpolating correctly when transitioning between chase and roaming spectator modes has been fixed. The team has also resolved an issue where the viewmodel weapon would vanish for one frame when switching in-eye spectator targets.

More aesthetic adjustments have been made to in-game items as well. Glove patterns and wear have been updated to align more closely with their CS:GO versions. Additionally, foil stickers have undergone various improvements, and stickers applied to weapons have been resized for better alignment.

Lastly, leading zeroes have been added to the StatTrak module, further enhancing in-game stat tracking.
