The cinematic intro video for the upcoming four-versus-four team-based online multiplayer game, Crash Team Rumble, has been released by publisher Activision and developer Toys for Bob. This exciting new addition to the Crash Bandicoot franchise will be available for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series, and Xbox One on June 20.

Crash Team Rumble takes the beloved Crash Bandicoot series in a fresh direction, pitting its famous heroes and villains against each other in a 4v4 team-based competition. Players will engage in fierce battles across a variety of treacherous maps, racing to collect and bank enough Wumpa fruit to secure victory. With a diverse and N.Sane cast of characters, each possessing unique skills and abilities, players can choose to embrace their heroic side or indulge their villainous nature.

The importance of teamwork cannot be overstated in this game, as players must collaborate to defeat the opposing team, protect their Wumpa Bank, and capture strategic points on the map to boost their score. The new gameplay mechanics, such as dashing, jumping, sliding, and bouncing, add an extra layer of excitement to this all-new way to experience Crash.

While it hasn’t been explicitly confirmed, a tweet from developer Toys for Bob suggests that the animation for the cinematic intro video was crafted by Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind the acclaimed Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

As the release date approaches, fans can get a glimpse of the thrilling action that awaits them in Crash Team Rumble’s cinematic intro video, now available for viewing online.
