Developer Toys for Bob has announced that they will no longer be releasing post-launch content updates for Crash Team Rumble. The final update is scheduled to arrive on March 4th, 2024, signaling the conclusion of new content and support for the online multiplayer title.
The decision to end support comes as Toys for Bob moves towards becoming an independent developer. This change in focus means they need to focus on new projects, leading to the end of development for Crash Team Rumble. While new content updates have stopped, players can still enjoy the core game and access the final Battle Pass. The existing servers remaining online also allow the community to continue engaging with the game after March 4th.
While the game’s development is coming to an end, players can still enjoy the core gameplay experience. The servers will remain online, allowing continued online play. Furthermore, the community can look forward to a special farewell gift.
A free 500-tier Battle Pass will be released on March 4th, unlocking all content from Seasons 1 through 3, including previously released Battle Pass items and event rewards. This provides an opportunity for players who haven’t acquired these items to do so for free.
The latest update includes changes to the in-game store. After March 4th, Crash Coin purchases will be disabled. However, players can still use existing Crash Coins to buy tier skips within the final Battle Pass, enabling them to unlock content more quickly.
