How to earn XP in Counter-Strike 2

You can earn XP in almost every Counter-Strike 2 game mode: Premier, Competitive, Wingman, Casual, and Deathmatch will all earn you XP. But if you play in Private Matchmaking, you will not get any XP and will not rank up.

Competitive mode has its drawbacks by being lengthy, but you’ll gain a ton of XP for playing it. However, while Deathmatch and Casual modes are quicker to play, they offer less XP.

How to view your Weekly Care Package XP progress in CS2

To know how much XP you need to rank up in CS2 is straightforward. Press the Home button in the top-right corner of the screen if you’ve been playing or if you’ve just loaded up CS2. The initial screen of your soldier posing with a weapon is the screen you want to be on.

CS2 Checking EXP

Below your soldier, between the legs, will be your profile. By clicking on it, a new window will appear, telling you your rank, what badges you have, etc. If you hover over the blue gauge underneath your current rank, it’ll tell you how much XP you need to hit the next rank. This way, when the CS2 Weekly Care Package resets, you’ll already know how much XP is needed to level up and claim your new rewards.

You’ll also receive a weekly XP boost the first time you play CS2 each week. This will help you earn your Weekly Care Package more quickly.

How to claim your Weekly Care Package rewards in Counter-Strike 2

You have two ways to claim your Weekly Care Package in CS2. The first is after the game is over and you’ve ranked up, the Care Package window will pop up, and you can select your two rewards straight away. But if you’re on a hot streak and want to get back into the game, you don’t have to open it then and there. To open it, head to the main menu and select ‘Store.’ It should automatically default to the Home tab. At the top of the screen will be your Weekly Care Package. From there, select the two rewards you want and claim them. Easy as that.
