Yes, Daredevil’s sign has returned in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and it has many fans excited about the possibility of the character making an appearance in the game, either as a DLC character or in the next game in the series. There is far more evidence that Daredevil will make an appearance than you’d think and we have it all.

The sign for the law firm Nelson and Murdock, where Daredevil works as Matt Murdock, was prominently featured in the first game but it had a pink eviction notice. This led many fans to believe that Daredevil would not be appearing in the second game and this was confirmed by the sign no longer having “Nelson and Murdock Attornies At Law” in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. However, the return of his sign, shown on Twitter, gives everyone hope.

Insomniac’s Creative Director Bryan Intihar has been coy about Daredevil’s potential involvement in the series. He said that fans should “stay tuned” when asked about the character during an interview with IGN. This definitely means that they’re preparing fans for a Daredevil appearance.

Even more evidence is based on another interview when Intihar also hinted that there are many more Marvel games to come from Insomniac Games in the future. We covered it based on the Wolverine stance, but Daredevil is likely to come next.

I would say that Daredevil will likely come as DLC instead of being a full fledged game or an appearance in Spider-Man 3. Most companies like to see how players feel about other characters before they make games for them. This wouldn’t be as simple as Spider-Man: Miles Morales because Daredevil would need a new way to traverse the city, different powers, and a whole lot of other things. So we shouldn’t take this as a whole new game kind of deal.

It is worth mentioning that prototype gameplay leaked for Daredevil: Man Without Fear very recently. This was a 2004 video game, and we covered the leak. I did personally think the timing was strange, and this may be a way to get more people invested in Daredevil. That is definitely a longshot but if we get confirmation on Daredevil soon, it’s a pretty big coincidence.
