Dead by Daylight is adding a touch of love to the fog this Valentine’s Day with two new “dreamy” outfits for its playable characters. These limited-time additions offer a humorous counterpoint to the game’s usual focus on horror, injecting a romantic element into the trials and tribulations of survivors and killers alike.
The first outfit, titled “Shot To The Heart,” adds a charmingly medieval twist to Vittorio Toscano’s appearance. Drawing inspiration from what the blog post says is the “God of love meets the prince of thieves” theme, the outfit features a romantic yet rugged aesthetic. This cosmetic equips Vittorio with a feathered cap, a decorated coat, and a quiver overflowing with love-tipped arrows, suggesting he intends to steal hearts (metaphorically) and distribute them with Robin Hood-esque generosity.

Nicolas Cage, the latest licensed character to join the Dead by Daylight roster, also receives a Valentine’s Day makeover with the “Night Out” outfit. This cosmetic depicts Cage in a shimmering tuxedo, seemingly ready for a sophisticated gala event. The description paints a picture of Cage charming everyone with his signature smile, further emphasizing the contrast between the character’s typical film roles and the romantic theme of the event.

Both outfits are part of separate collections available for purchase in the Dead by Daylight in-game store. The Shot To The Heart outfit belongs to the Valentine’s 2024 Collection, while the Night Out outfit is in the Nicolas Cage Essentials Collection.
The developers made a funny quip in their blog post acknowledging the inherent irony of introducing romantic elements into a horror game. Their playful message acknowledges the contrast: “Dead by Daylight can be scary, but love is scarier.” If you’re interested, you better hurry because there’s no telling how long these skins will be available.
