The world of Saints Row has been invaded by the upcoming Dead Island 2, with a slew of free, slayer-inspired items now available for players. These new items include clothing based on Dead Island 2 characters Jacob and Amy, a Carver HQ collectible, the Slayer’s Electric Smasher weapon skin, a Flambo Inflatable Hat, and the Zombie Shuffle emote.
The Dead Island 2 Free pack can be downloaded now from the Epic Games Store and is currently being rolled out on Xbox. PlayStation users can expect the pack to become available at midnight in their respective time zones tonight. The pack was initially unveiled in the Saints Row roadmap, which highlighted the future plans for the franchise.
Dead Island 2, an action role-playing game developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver, is the third major installment in the Dead Island series. Set in Los Angeles 10 years after the events of Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, the game features a quarantined city overrun by zombies. Dead Island 2 is slated for release on April 21, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
In Dead Island 2, players will traverse iconic locations throughout Los Angeles, engaging in brutal melee combat and experiencing an advanced dismemberment system. With six unique characters to choose from, players can customize their Slayer’s abilities with a new skill system, ensuring a high level of replayability.
Saints Row, on the other hand, is a crime-based start-up company story with Neenah, Kevin, and Eli as allies. Players will form The Saints and battle rival gangs Los Panteros, The Idols, and Marshall for control of Santo Ileso, the largest and most expansive Saints Row playground ever created. With a wide array of side hustles, criminal ventures, and blockbuster missions, players will immerse themselves in the action-packed world of Saints Row.
