The upcoming action-packed Dead Island 2, which promises a unique mix of horror, dark humor, and over-the-top zombie-slaying, is set to take players on a wild ride through a hellish vision of Los Angeles, dubbed “HELL-A.” The game’s exhilarating first-person, action RPG experience allows players to explore a stylish, vibrant, and zombie-infested city, while meeting larger-than-life characters and evolving into the ultimate Zombie Slayer. With its intense, visceral combat system, players will be able to choose from a variety of weapons and tactical options to decimate the undead hordes.
Dead Island 2 is scheduled for release on April 21, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. To help gamers prepare for the impending launch, the developers have revealed the PC system requirements, ranging from minimum to ultra settings.

Along with these requirements, they answered a variety of commonly asked questions in the announcement. Dead Island 2 will not support cross-play or key and mouse support on consoles. However, the game will feature cross-gen support and a co-op story mode for up to three players. Although English is the only audio option, subtitles and other in-game text will be available in numerous languages, including French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Mexican Spanish, Polish, Czech, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

Console FPS counts are 60 FPS for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and 30 FPS for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Dead Island 2’s PC version supports various controller layouts, a streamer mode blocking licensed music, customizable HUD elements, and DirectX 12. The game also supports AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution (FSR2) and AMD FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening but does not support performance-boosting software.
