Demon Slayer Watch Ordr

Demon Slayer is one of the most popular anime in the world right now, receiving similar popularity to genre titans like Dragon Ball Super and My Hero Academia. If you’re looking to get into Demon Slayer, viewing it in the correct order is important to experience the show the right way. In this guide, we’ll show you the best way to view Demon Slayer and it’s popular movie Mugen Train.

Demon Slayer Watch List

Being a relatively new anime, Demon Slayer doesn’t have a lot of content to view or a very disjointed watch order. If you wanted to, you could binge-watch Demon Slayer’s two seasons and watch the movie, Mugen Train, afterward, or skip it entirely. Doing either won’t change or confuse the story.

Demon Slayer Cap

This is because Mugen Train was re-adapted into a six-episode run after it’s release. Everything that happens in the movie is repeated in episodes 2-7 of Demon Slayer, so viewing either is an optional replacement for the other. It really depends on if you prefer to see that content in a cinematic viewing, or an episodic viewing.

Personally, I recommend watching the Mugen Train movie instead of the season 2 story arc. Mugen Train is a great movie, and the adapted episodes really just don’t match the cinematic experience the movie offers. You can pick up the rest of season 2 after viewing the movie.

If you do it this way, please keep in mind that you still need to watch season 2 episode 1 of Demon Slayer. The end of season 2 episode 1 leads directly into the scene at the start of Mugen Train or season 2 episode 2.

With that being said, here is my watch order list for Demon Slayer.

  • Demon Slayer Season 1, Episodes 1 – 26
  • Demon Slayer Season 2, Episode 1
  • Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Movie
  • Demon Slayer Season 2, Episode 8 – 18

That’s everything you need to binge-watch Demon Slayer! Check out our anime countdowns and watch lists so you can get into the latest and greatest Japanese animation with ease!
