Destiny 2’s latest expansion, The Witch Queen, is nearly upon us. While it can be both exciting and tiresome waiting for the next big content update to drop, there’s still plenty you can do to prepare for what could be the most ambitious Destiny expansion ever.
Over the years, Destiny 2 has introduced an overwhelming number of resources essential to upgrade certain aspects of your character. This number only goes up with every new Season and expansion release. The Witch Queen should be no different. As such, there are plenty of resources that you should be farming right now, one of which is Enhancement Prisms. In this guide, we will show you the best way to farm Enhancement Prisms in Destiny 2.
Enhancement Prisms in Destiny 2
Enhancement Prisms are extremely rare crafting materials in Destiny 2 that you will need to craft masterwork armors. Enhancement Prisms are even harder to get than exotic engrams in Destiny 2, which is saying something, since exotic engrams usually contain some of the best weapons and armors in the game.
However, there are few activities that are pretty much guaranteed to drop enhancement prisms in Destiny 2. Two such activities are Nightfall Strikes and Empire Hunts, and you have to complete them at Legend or Master difficulty.
You can access Nightfall Strikes from the Vanguard section of the Destiny 2 map, whereas you can access Empire Hunts from Variks in Europa after finishing the Beyond Light campaign. The catch here is that Legend and Master difficulty activities don’t allow matchmaking, which is infuriating if you’re a solo player. Thankfully, we know exactly how you can get other players to aid you in your Nightfall and Empire Hunts runs as well as other high-end activities.
There is a subreddit called Fireteams where you can easily find fireteam members for Destiny 2. You will find plenty of other solo players looking to join up for similar high-end activities like you. You will also find clan members looking for new players to join their clan for any and every in-game activities. Most of them are very welcoming of solo players, so you should be able to get a few people to join your fireteam pretty easily.
Once you have at least one other player in your party and have a power level of 1300 or more, Nightfall Strikes at Legend shouldn’t be that difficult to get through. A single run can take over 30 to 50 minutes to complete, depending on your fireteam, and you are pretty much guaranteed to get at least 2 enhancement prisms.
Some players claim they have gotten upto 3 enhancement prisms out of a single Nightfall run at Legend difficulty, and while the reason isn’t clear, it could be because of their high NF team score. Either way, a few re-runs of Nightfall, either at Legend or Master( if you’re up for it) difficulty, should get you a handful of enhancement prisms.
The Enhancement Prism drop in Empire Hunt is common at both Legend and Master difficulty, which means you’re pretty much guaranteed to get those from here as well. It’s recommended that you save up these Enhancement Prisms since you will need a ton of these to masterwork Season 16 and The Witch Queen armor pieces.
