What is Detective Pikachu Returns?

Detective Pikachu Returns is the sequel to the original Detective Pikachu. Players control Tim Goodman, Pikachu’s human partner, as they investigate mysteries across Ryme City. The main case involves a jewel theft, but as Tim and Pikachu investigate, they uncover a larger conspiracy. Tim’s missing father, Harry, and a number of Pokémon-related incidents are part of the conspiracy.

The gameplay focuses on the detective aspect. You need to look around Ryme City, talk to witnesses, and search for clues. Detective Pikachu will help by translating Pokémon language and offering his own observations. Pikachu can also use Pika Sense, which lets you see clues that would normally be invisible and solve puzzles.

Several features from Detective Pikachu Returns return, including the Pokédex to learn more about Pokémon and scan them. However, there are a number of new features and improvements. The game also features a larger cast of characters, including both new and returning characters. In addition to Pikachu, players can also team up with other Pokémon partners, such as Growlithe and Luxray, who can use their unique abilities to assist Tim.

This is a great buy for anyone who enjoyed the original Detective Pikachu game on 3DS.
