Out of all the indie publishers, Devolver Digital has made a brand out of consistently delivering titles that are unique and fun to play. Now the developer has announced a surprise showcase coming on Monday, Aug. 7 at 8 a.m. PT, called the Devolver Delayed Showcase for games that are coming in late 2023 and early 2024.
The developer made the announcement on Twitter with a link to the placeholder video spot that will work as the debut and showcase of some of Devolver’s most anticipated titles. As with other showcases, there may also be a surprise or two for fans who stick around for the entire thing, but Devolver will likely be just as happy showing off upcoming titles.
This is the second showcase that Devolver has had this summer, with a Direct during Summer Games Fest in early June. It then showed off a number of titles before then placing some of the demos on the Steam Next Fest in the middle of that same month. One of the headliners was The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood from Spain, a tarot-reading deck-builder and will likely feature during the showcase.
There’s no real buildup to this showcase, with Devolver announcing it two days ahead of the actual launch, so it’s unclear how much will be shown. At the very least, the developer will likely show off some of the upcoming titles we already know about, which means players can get a closer look ahead of the releases in the next few months.
