Devolver Digital is the publisher behind popular games like Serious Sam, My Friend Pedro, and Hotline Miami. Devolver is also known for its whimsical attitude and frequent jokes on Twitter. Well, now the game publisher has potentially leaked a new sale coming to Steam tomorrow.
Update: The Devolver Digital Publisher Sale is now live on Steam.
In a tweet at around 8pm, Devolver posted that users shouldn’t buy any of their games on Steam until tomorrow. The developer makes an exception for Trek to Yomi, which releases later tonight. One can only assume that this means Devolver’s games will be offered at a lower price tomorrow, potentially to celebrate the release of Trek to Yomi.
Like most other gaming companies, Devolver has sales on Steam now and then. This will likely be a weekend sale, which usually starts on Thursday and ends on Monday. Players will be able to get all of their favorite Devolver Digital games.
It’s nice of the company to let it slip that it has an upcoming sale. Devolver’s tweet may surprise many fans of the publisher who are eager to collect more of its classic games.
The developer has been building hype for Trek to Yomi, so this sale could be to celebrate the release. Trek to Yomi is a side-scrolling action game with a combat system that’s easy to learn and hard to master. Players can perform special blocks and will need to compensate for their enemy’s combat stance. There are various samurai weapons and elemental powers in the game.
The game is meant to be challenging for some players while also offering different accessibility options for players. The game encourages exploration while also having a linear story to follow.
As the potential Devolver Digital sale and Trek to Yomi move closer, it’s going to be a good weekend to be a fan of this publisher.
