Diablo 4 players who wanted Season 2 will have to wait a bit to play the new season. The community manager posted in the forums to let players know they wouldn’t be able to play the game when they expected. A reassuring few-hour time frame was given, but players should receive an update with more information soon.

Update: The season is now out, but it was revealed via Twitter that because of the issue, PC and console players cannot play together.

The message on the forum was posted, locked, and pinned by community manager SinfulScribe. In it, he is pretty clear and gives hope that this will only last a few more hours. To quote him:

“Hello everyone, We have encountered some technical issues with our current build and will be delaying Season of Blood’s start time by a few hours to remedy these issues. Once we have more information, we’ll update you right away. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the feedback you have provided and your patience.”

Although it is clear that it will only be a few hours until Diablo 4 Season 2 is up, that is not promised or guaranteed. There’s no telling how much the game may need or what the issue with the build is. This could be an issue that causes a delay of a few days to a week. All that we’re told is that the build players were going to update to have issues.

The update we get should be telling players how long they actually have to wait, which could be good or bad news. Waiting a few hours isn’t a big deal, it’s the fear that this may be longer which would cause distress.

We will be adjusting our countdown to reflect the new changes as well as the delay. We recommend checking it so that you can be updated. We’ll also update this article when more information is given. So stick to Try Hard Guides for your news.
