Diablo IV, the highly anticipated sequel in the hit action RPG series from Blizzard Entertainment, has just released an all-new trailer with exclusive gameplay featuring NVIDIA DLSS 3 technology.
Diablo IV is set to release next week on June 6th, 2023. It will be available on PC via Battle.net, as well as current or last-gen consoles for PlayStation and Xbox fans. Pre-purchasing the Ultimate Edition will allow players up to four days of early access. You can watch today’s new Diablo IV trailer on the NVIDIA GeForce YouTube channel:
Today’s trailer includes a brief side-by-side comparison with the DLSS off and lower frames per second. NVIDIA’s technology has been widely renowned and sought after, and fans have waited an eternity for Diablo IV, which recently revealed a compelling story trailer.
Given the massive audience for Diablo, this level of technological investment should definitely please longtime fans. It has truly been an age since Diablo III, which originally launched about a decade ago, and Diablo Immortal was an MMORPG that didn’t actually continue the story.
Diablo IV is in a good position to benefit from modern tech. Although it would probably be a serviceable experience without NVIDIA’s tech, it isn’t necessarily overkill.
Diablo IV’s world is full of small textures, special powers, and chaotic action, which would all be easier to follow and enjoy. And our own first impressions of the Diablo IV beta specifically note the drastically improved graphics. Also, any kind of ray tracing later on would absolutely require NVIDIA’s enhancements.
The actual gameplay in today’s trailer also looks promising, with some inventive bosses and the franchise’s signature attitude, including both a pumping soundtrack and splashy action sequences.
