Salt and Sacrifice is the sequel to the 2D souls-like, Salt and Sanctuary. Picking up where the previous game left off, you are going to be exploring yet another plagued land that will have you fighting incredibly hard battles on your way to powering up your character with new weapons, armor, and spells. If you don’t want to go at it alone, we’ll tell you whether or not you can bring a friend along to battle with you.

Salt and Sacrifice Multiplayer or Coop

Yes, you will be able to play multiplayer and coop in Salt and Sacrifice. This will function similar to Dark Souls games, where you will find markers on the ground and can use an item to enter into the other player’s game. That’s not all, however, you will also be able to join a game via a password, which means you won’t have to resummon if you or a friend dies.

If you summon or are summoned to a game, that will open up you up to receiving players who are looking to fight you and your teammates. So, if you want to stay protected from PVP, don’t accept a summons or request another player via your summoning candle.

Alternatively, if you want to lock your game and play with just friends. You can host and join a game by heading to a Cooperation Board. Input a password to lock your game, or enter a friend’s password to join up with them.

The PVP aspects of the game get a bit more complicated, as you can choose different factions. There’s a strictly PVP option and a PVP/PVE one as well!
