It’s been a good couple of weeks for the new streaming platform Kick after it was able to nab some of Twitch’s top content creators like Amouranth and xQc on exclusivity contracts for millions of dollars. Now, Dr. Disrespect, a top FPS streamer, is offering to leave YouTube for the platform if they’re willing to give him $50 million.

Dr. Disrespect made this request on Twitter on the morning of June 22 with a picture of himself with a green square in typical Kick style. At first glance, this might seem like a high number, but it’s only half of what xQc got for signing. This likely seems like a fairly reasonable number to his team given the hype that Kick has now while still being significant enough for a high-value streamer acquisition.

While Dr. Disrespect now streams on YouTube following his Twitch ban in June 2020, it would be another monumental acquisition for Kick over what many consider the mainstay platforms. However, with such larger acquisitions, founder and CEO Edward Craven previously stated that he is prepared for Kick to “operate at a loss” as a startup business.

Dr. Disrespect has also been in headlines recently for his support of NICKMERCS following the alleged anti-LGBTQ rhetoric a couple of weeks ago. The streamer even seemingly gave up Call of Duty, uninstalling Modern Warfare 2 from his computer in protest after they removed the NICKMERCS bundle from the shop.

It’s unclear if Kick will try to snap up the “two-time” gaming champion, but at least the Doc can say he gave them an offer.
