We finally have a release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2, as revealed by the developer. The release date was shown in the showcase in a trailer for the game. The new release date for the game is March 22, 2023.

This release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2 was revealed to be March 22, 2023, during a showcase. This goes against to the one shown on Steam earlier today. For those who don’t know, the release date was leaked on the Steam page for the game hours ago. This means that someone may have set a timer wrong on the Steam product and the developer may not have wanted to hide it again. Hiding something like that tends to confirm that it was true. Also, there wouldn’t be much of a reason to hide it just to bring it back.

The PEGI leak that showed a release date over a week ago was right on the money. This could mean that Steam received the incorrect date or maybe it was just moved slightly by the developer. Alongside the date we got to hear about new features in the game like the new character creator, which looks like the Meta Human sliders we saw from the Unreal Engine.

There was also a new vocation called the Trickster shown, which wields the Censer and uses the smoke it produces to conjure illusions. The Trickster is a support vocation that can confuse enemies and increase the power of Pawns. I like this addition a lot because I used to want to play a more supporting role in the original Dragon’s Dogma, but it was hard to do so.

Even as a mage, it felt like you always had to lead the battle, and Trickster sounds like it will be the perfect vocation for someone who prefers to have their Pawns lead the way.
